The Grasshopper were born in the spring of 2006. Playing with great meaning and understanding to their audience, they continue to leap bounds of musical limits and expectations for a greater goal. In the beginning... The "Grasshoppers" was an idea, a concept formed by great psychedelic warriors who carried the name "Grasshoppers" until it was passed on into musical form. The message was and will always be to "set the monkey free", The monkey in your heart, head, and, soul.Band Site »

The Earthlings are a group of musicians with a knack for the eclectic. Born in a Madison basement in the winter of 2010, the collective began as a group of friends expressing themselves through musical experimentation. Within a year, it expanded from one recording of a few people to an album of sixteen musical collages called, “Earth”, featuring the contributions of a dozen musicians and a core group of five members. The formation of The Earthlings itself is reflective of their sound: malleable, multi-polar, and evolutionary. With a base rooted in groove and dynamism, the music traverses the genres of the 50’s to the present era, exploring early rock n’ roll drive and folk swing with a neo-reggae and electronic elements. BEEFUS' irrepressibly oddball music groans and wheezes, burps and howls, cranked out by an eight-piece ensemble that includes horns, keyboards, unusual percussion, electrified bluegrass instruments, and a powerhouse rhythm section. BEEFUS inhabits a singular conceptual universe, a world of voracious squid-gods, faceless child prophets, pervo-plumbers, fetish pornography, meat-based thought control, and dystopian visions of a Corporation that keeps Foodmanity servile. Come for the endlessly surprising musical explorations, stay for the witty lyrics and entertaining conceptual continuity, flee out the door when the MOTHERSQUID descends! There has never been anything like BEEFUS, although fans of The Residents, DEVO, Frank Zappa, Mr. Bungle, and Primus will find much to enjoyBand Site »
Once upon a time a couple of Unicorns worked at a fast food joint together. They were bonded by their silly-freakness and shared creative mysticism. Soon they moved to a neighborhood that had a surplus of silly little creative freaks, and started working in a dusty thrift store. It was there that they met other mystics, and everyone was happy and creative and aesthetically pleasing and the Lord rested. ..... While the Lord naps, we're working on our debut full length album, "Some Pretty Songs Average" as we begin to morph into a fantastically glistening 7 piece live band. We're painting and drawing and mod podging and writing and dancing and making love and smiling a lot too, so keep an eye out!Band Site »
